Naturally this binocular is waterproof and gas-filled with dry nitrogen to safe guard against internal moisture of the optics. The large eye relief in combination with the widely dimensioned eyepieces guarantees, even with heavy movements, that the large field of view can be seen easily. The binocular has got an individual focusing system. That means that you can focus each eyepiece individually, with the comfortable wide focus control. So you can focus from nine meters to infinity. This system also guarantees an optimum closure of the binoculars.
In the clear wide field of view you'll see in the left lower corner a graduation-scale where the compass display is projected. This is thanks to the integrated and stabilized Suunto compass. Even at night time sight-navigation with the compass is possible, because of the build in soft red light, which you can turn on or off by yourself to read the scale. Because at night your eyes are not sensitive to red light it does not spoil your view. It is also possible to make height and distance measurements.
The optics of the binocular is fully multi-coated and has Bak-4 prisms. This guarantees high brightness and an excellent contrast. These two qualities can help you with life threatening situations at night. A lot of attention has been given to the ergonomics of the body so you can use all the features under arduous conditions and even with your gloves on.
